Personal Brand Content Strategy: 30+ Ideas in 5 Minutes for LinkedIn
As a recruiter with over 16 years of experience, I'm going to teach you my "what, why, who, when, how, where" technique. This is a hack for creating 30 or more pieces of content within just 5 minutes.
The What, Why, Who, When, How, Where Technique
The goal of this technique is to take topics your audience wants to hear about and create lots of different content pieces. For example, if your audience (recruiters) wants to hear about business development, you can use this technique to generate multiple content ideas:
- What is working with making Business Development calls at the moment?
- Why is cold Business Development dead and what are some alternative strategies?
- Who do you contact if your BD prospects have gatekeepers?
- When is the right time to pitch during a BD meeting?
- How often should you make BD calls and nurture your pipeline?
Applying the Technique to Your Niche
You can gather intel from your conversations with clients and candidates. You don't need to be an expert in their field to provide valuable insights. For example, if you recruit in the IT sector:
- What are the biggest challenges in the IT sector at the moment?
- Why is remote work causing burnout amongst IT professionals?
- Who should you call if you have a hard-to-fill IT role?
- When should you use an external agency throughout the hiring process?
- How long should it take a new data analyst to learn new processes?
The Importance of Post Hooks
When creating content, always pair your post with a hook - the very first line designed to capture attention. For example:
"Here are five things every IT manager needs to know if they're worried about their role being outsourced and how you can avoid it."
